For the story vessel project, I decided to do a "Moana" theme. The shape of my project, is inspired by the volcano in the movie Moana. I created the volcano by using the coil method. I started with a squared base and started building it with coils, until it was the right size. For the outer texture, I smoothed out the coils in a downward motion with my finger, causing it to have a lumpy texture.
I love the look of the volcano, and making it textured really gives it character and makes it unique.
